There are two separate services that you need for a functioning site - a domain plus a hosting plan for it. When you type the domain in your Internet browser, you see the content that’s uploaded within the website hosting account, but if that Internet domain is not linked to such an account or to an email service, it's parked. Put simply, the domain is registered and you are its owner, but it doesn't have any content of its own. Rather, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” webpage from the registrar company, or it may be forwarded to any other URL of your choice. The main advantage of parking a domain address is that you can keep it and be sure that no one else is going to take it. At the same time, it will not block a slot for a hosted Internet domain in your account. You could also park domain names if you have a .com, for instance, and you register domain addresses with other extensions such as .net, .org or country-code ones to forward them to the main website so as to protect a brand name.

Parked Domains in Web Hosting

If you have a web hosting through our company, you are going to be able to park each of your domain names easily. The function is offered for the domain addresses registered with our company, but not for the ones which are only hosted here and pointed from some other company, as a domain can be parked only through its registrar. Our Domain Manager tool will allow you to choose from a number of different templates and you're going to be able to add your own text to any of them. Forwarding a domain address to an alternative URL is as easy as only typing the Internet address and saving it. If you decide to host any of your parked domain addresses, it takes only a mouse click to do it and our system is going to do the rest - changing the name servers, creating a domain folder in your account, setting up the necessary DNS records, etc. For much easier administration, you're going to be able to filter the domain names registered in the account by their status - parked or hosted.

Parked Domains in Semi-dedicated Servers

If you buy a semi-dedicated server plan from us, you can register and park as many domains as you would like. As opposed to other providers, we won't charge you an additional fee for this feature. You can park a domain with only two mouse clicks using the Domain Manager instrument, which you could access from the Hepsia hosting Control Panel. If you choose to use a template, you'll have a few different ones to select from and you will be able to add custom text to any of them. The feature-rich Domain Manager allows you to set filters to see only the hosted or only the parked domain addresses within your account. Through the same tool, you can also un-park a domain and host it within your account with a click. Our system will change the name servers of the domain address and will create its folder inside the File Manager section, and the required DNS records for it, automatically.
